Everything has a beginning

Well, this should be interesting!

I have been collecting sports cards and sports memorabilia for over 40 years and have now reached a point in my life where reflection and evaluation make sense.

I used to collect everything and anything sports related; Baseball, Football, Basketball, Hockey. I collected them all. Cards, photos, hats, sundae cups, coins; bring ’em on!

A few years ago, I decided to be more focused in my collecting and proceeded to shed (sell) a bulk of my collection.

One card company had earned my admiration and I can’t even remember why. But I couldn’t part with my Fleer products. I had long been a fan of the Greats of the Game product from Fleer. From the first sets in the 60’s to my obsession with the 2004 Greats of the Game sets, I kept my Fleer cards.

I will attempt to provide whatever knowledge I can about the company and its cards. I look forward to our conversations and whatever information we can share.

Bear with me! I’m fairly new at this. But I’m a quick study and this should be fun!
